Conversational Italian

In co-operation with the Center for Italian and Italian-American Studies, Montville Twp Public Library once again presents the ever popular Conversational Italian program. Learn how to speak Italian by conversing with a native speaker. Every first and third Thursday of the month at 7 PM in the Conference Room.

9/11

Today is the eighth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. In honor of the fallen, the Reference Department has selected a series of books on the 9/11 attacks which will be on display in the lobby in front of the computer stations just before the Information Desk.

Glenn LeBoeuf To Return to Library

Master teacher Glenn LeBoeuf captivated an audience of about 50 people last night in the Pio Costa with his lecture, "Lincoln and God"

Glenn will put back his finance maven hat again on Nov. 5 at 7 PM with a free seminar, "Crawlin' Through the Wreckage" where he tells you what to do, and what not to do in this post financial meltdown economy.

Teen Events this Fall

Next, the first program of the year kicks off with master historian Glenn LeBoeuf telling us about "The 20 Greatest Scientific Innovations in US History" on Wed., Sept. 23rd at 3 PM in the Auditorium.

The next meeting of The Teen Council will Wednesday, October 7th at 3 PM in the Pio Costa Conference Room.

FALL 2009 PROGRAMS

Lincoln and God— Skeptic, believer or a little of both? Noted Civil War Historian Glenn LeBoeuf explains how our greatest President got through difficult times with help from above. Thu. Sept. 10th at 7 PM.

Caring for Elderly Parents—The Squeezed Generation often cares not only for their children but for elders too. A must planner for the finances of care giving. Sat. Sept. 12 at 1 PM.

Smoking cessation—Tobacco addiction can and will kill you. Kathy Lindert gives an introductory hypnosis course on this vitally important health issue. $35 and you must register at 973-402-6362. Tue. Sept. 15 at 7 PM.

Anger Management - The Panic & Anxiety Relief Council shows how to manage your temper. Thu. Sept. 17th at 7 PM.

Arlon Bennett Folk Music—Another in our series of folk and pop at the Library. Thur. Sept 24th at 7 PM. Arlon is an original songwriter influenced by Happy Chapin, Jim Croce and Don McLean and he has opened for such artists as Livingston Taylor and Tom Chapin.

Boating License—Captain Pisano and the Power Boat Squadron is back. Get your NJ boating license in 4 successful Tuesday nights courses starting Sept. 29th at 7 PM. Last day of registration is Sept. 23rd; $65 at 973-402-2672.

Anton Del Forno Classic Guitar—Thu, Oct. 1 at 7 PM. Classical acoustic guitar live in the Pio Costa Auditorium.

Frost KingsNorth Jersey’s premier blues band returns to the Library. Hear Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters and BB King tunes live in the Pio Costa. Thu. Oct 15 at 7 PM.
